Scott Cairns' Amazon Breakthrough Novel Interviews

Author Scott Cairns , a fellow Semi-finalist in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Awards (in the General Fiction category) for his novel Silver , is biding his time awaiting our fate by interviewing other contenders, including yours truly!  He asked me about myself, my writing, and my own ABNA Semi-finalist, All My Tomorrows . ... ABNA: The Rest of the Field (Romance) By Scott on April 27, 2013 Continuing my obsession with the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Awards, I thought I would continue by checking out the rest of the opposition in the other categories. Bad idea….. I’ve thrown stuff at the wall and uttered some unforgivably bad words so this free publicity is really just atonement. I would like to thank Colette Saucier for her time to complete this interview. Good luck in this round but if we meet in Seattle….the gloves are off! In keeping with this digital world of brevity, tell us about yourself in no more than 50 words.  I am married with three grown daughters and two cra

All the Appearance of Goodness by Maria Grace

Good morning, dear readers!  My guest this week for Coffee with Colette is Maria Grace , another fellow Austen Author whom I had the pleasure of meeting last summer in the sweltering Atlanta heat with an entire JASNA ensemble. If you haven't read her work before, you're in for a special treat because her first novel - Darcy's Decision - is FREE for Kindle through Saturday! She just released her third novel, All the Appearance of Goodness - which I cannot wait to read - but today she is also going to tell you how hummingbirds figure not just into her writing but also in her getting a couple of black-belts as well! Maria is a true Renaissance woman you will definitely want to meet.... ~Colette I just released my third novel, and I’m on blog tour to let people know. Thanks, Colette, for inviting me to share with your readers! I have to admit, it is such a strange thing to hear myself saying thing like I released my third novel; I am an author; I am writing

#ABNA Semi-finalist!?! For Once I Am Speechless...

Welcome to the Sneak Peek Sunday for April 21st, 2013! For anyone who read last week's Sneak Peek Sunday , I was excited enough to have All My Tomorrows selected as a Quarterfinalist in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award contest. I had it all figured out. You see, I had just finished production on the audiobook for Pulse and Prejudice (and it sounds amazing!), so I was naturally anxious to get started on the audiobook for All My Tomorrows as well. Of course, as long as it's a contender in the ABNA contest, I can't do anything with it; so I have been waiting patiently for April 16th for it to be eliminated so I could go forward with auditions for the audiobook. The best laid plans of mice and men! You could have knocked me over with a feather when I found out that All My Tomorrows had actually been selected one of the FIVE Semi-finalists in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Awards contest (out of 500 Quarterfinalists - and 10,000 entries overall)! Plus, it received

Bound in Evil by Marie Rose Dufour: Coffee with Colette

Good morning, dear readers ! This week on Coffee with Colette , fellow Secret Cravings Publishing author Marie Rose Dufour has dropped by to tell you about her new paranormal ro mance trilogy!  She's kicking it off with Bound in Evil , and she has included a sexy, super-hot excerpt at the end of this post for adults only ! (You have been warned.) Do you like witches? I bet you 've never seen witches like this before! ~Colette      Hello everyone! First off, I’d like to thank Colette for hosting me here today. I’m here to promote my newest novel, Bound in Evil . It’s the beginning of an eerily creepy erotic romance trilogy about three families of powerful witches and their fight against an ancient evil that has awakened after centuries of slumber.      It makes me laugh that my new novels are in the paranormal genre because anyone who know me, knows I’m the biggest wimp there is out there. All I know is that if I was in a house and it whispered, “Get ou

Sneak Peek Sunday - All My Tomorrows

ABNA Quarter SEMI-Finalist! Welcome to the Sneak Peek Sunday for April 14th, 2013! Today I am sharing a snippet from my contemporary romance All My Tomorrows (blurb below). Last month, it was selected as one of the 500 Quarter-finalists (of 10,000 entries!) in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award competition! This is in addition to being voted a Top 10 Romance Novel of 2012   and Austenprose naming yours truly  "Debut Author of the Year" for 2012! UPDATE:  Tuesday, April 16th, Amazon announced that All My Tomorrows has been selected as one of the 25 SEMI-FINALISTS in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award competition! I n this excerpt, despite all her efforts to avoid him, Alice has found herself once again thrown into the company of movie star Peter Walsingham as he is filming in New Orleans, and he has joined her at a patio bar in the French Quarter one hot August night...      Nothing felt right. Nothing felt real. Conversations continued around her,

Bloodsucker Races with Ciaran Dwynvil

Good morning, dear readers! We are starting the week off right with a Monday edition of Coffee with Colette . I know I complain about my "soul-sucking day job" regularly, but I actually had to work an hour late on Friday! Now that's just wrong. So to kick this week off on the right foot, Ciaran Dwynvil - the bard of gay erotic paranormal fantasy himself - is here to get our pulses racing even if you < gasp! > drink decaf!                               ~Colette Thank you, Colette, for having me as your guest today. I'm very excited to be here to tell you about my newest gay erotic paranormal fantasy, In Blue Poppy Fields . The book will please not only all fans of Belial, the Prince of Trickery, the Lord of Lust and the Antilight... aka Guardian Demon, but all readers who love vampires. Though... perhaps not all, as vampire stories differ greatly. Some have gloomy, horror atmosphere, some are full of blood and violence, still others brim with d

Sneak Peek Sunday - Pulse and Prejudice

Welcome to Sneak Peek Sunday for April 7th! I know, it has been a long time since I have posted a Sunday excerpt; but I have been dealing with my own March Madness, which has turned me into a very bad blogger. I won't go into the gory details of the more stressful aspects of my "real" life, but on the plus side, I did complete a new romantic suspense - Alicia's Possession - which will be published in July by Secret Cravings Publishing ! I also just finished the "proof-listening" for the audiobook version of Pulse and Prejudice , my paranormal adaptation of Jane Austen's classic, which tells the story of Mr. Darcy - vampire . It is still in production but should be available early this summer, and it sounds amazing! At one point, I even got chills - and I knew what was coming! Of course, you don't have to wait for the audiobook, as it is currently available in print and all eBook formats . These are a few lines I enjoyed hearing spo

Good morning, dear readers! This week, fellow Austen Author , the beautiful and talented Sharon Lathan , has dropped by for Coffee with Colette . Sharon is the author of so many wonderful and popular Austen-inspired novels, she's going to tell you why her latest release - The Passions of Dr. Darcy - is her favourite! After you read it, maybe it will be yours, too. I was hooked the moment I heard the title, and anyone who knows me - or at least my tattoos! - is familiar with my fascination with India. You won't want to miss the thrilling adventure Sharon has in store for us!   ~Colette Top Ten Reasons Why The Passions of Dr. Darcy is Sharon’s Favorite Authors are proud of every book they write (usually), and I can emphatically state that I am immensely pleased with my previous seven publications. I strongly believe I have done Jane Austen proud with my continuation to Pride and Prejudice . Therefore, it isn’t a negative reflection upon The Darcy Saga when I
